Justyna Badach is an artist based in Philadelphia. Her work has been exhibited internationally including The James A. Michener Art Museum, Fotografia Festival di Roma, The Griffin Museum, Catherine Edelman Gallery, The Australian Center for Photography and Art Wonderland Space in Copenhagen, among others. Select solo exhibition include: Lightwork Syracuse, White Columns New York, Gallery 339 Philadelphia, Blue Sky Gallery in Portland and Contemporary Art Center Las Vegas. Her work has been published in Contact Sheet, F-Stop Magazine, Dummy Magazine (Germany) and included in several exhibition catalogs. Her work is held in the permanent collections of Portland Museum of Art, Museet for Fotokunst Brandts, Odense, Denmark, and The Center for Photography at Woodstock, Cranbrook Museum of Art, MI., and US Embassy Ghana. Her book, Bachelor Portraits is in the artist book collections at Rice University, Temple University and Haverford College. Badach has been awarded an artist residency from Light Work, and grants from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, Leeway Foundation, Griffin Museum, and The Independence Foundation.
